I don't know about you, but I hate big, pushy crowds with mean and nasty people. Nothing like having the holiday spirit, right? So, I'm going to do my best to avoid going anywhere near a mall or a store today. (Not sure that is going to be easy though since my mother loves to shop.)
Instead, I thought I'd share my mini stash haul from the excursion with my "Stitching Sisters" last weekend. The first thing I found was this old Sheepish Designs sampler. Seeing that they are no longer in print, I figured that this was a great find. If I do end up stitching it, I see a few color changes in my future.....

A girl can never have enough needles either! |
Then I was digging through the holiday basket and came across this A Mon Ami Pierre pattern:

Noel 2009 |
Now, this type of pattern is usually not my cup of tea. I'm dreading opening up the pattern since I believe it is all in French and I took Spanish in High School. But, it just called out my name. I figured that I could either stitch the whole thing or I could just stitch the ornaments individually. (Hence the lovely Treasure Braids by Rainbow Gallery.) Just as long as there is a stitch count, this girl will manage.
My decision was confirmed when I saw this hanging behing the counter.......
I think I'm going to mix some Belle Soie with those Rainbow Gallery threads and I'll have some great new ornaments for my tree! Now, if there was just more time until Christmas......I've got too many ornaments to stitch as is!
Happy Stitching!

The ornament pattern is amazing, I might have to find that one for myself!
Ornament patter is lovely! I bet you can figure things out even if it's in French - there are those translator thingies on the internet...
Been thinking about you - hope your Thanksgiving was thankful and your weekend ahead of us still (since it's only 10 a.m. Saturday) is relaxing!
Wow that is gorgous with the colour changes, another thing to add my growing wish list.
You enabled me for sure with that Noel design...sigh. I have enough stuff for 10 lifetimes.
