See What Happens When You Fall On "Chance"?

I can't believe it!  I'm already so limited on my stitching time and now this!

You see, I've mainly been working on my Lizzie*Kate Flip Its Piece from the 2011 Crazy January Challenge since it is on 32 count.  It is very easy on the eyes and that is the kind of stitching I need since I spend so much time at work right now.

I've been making great progress during Sunday's stitching time with my friends.  Here's my progress as of this past Sunday.....
2008 Flip Its by Lizzie*Kate
Part of the 2011 Crazy January Challenge

Not bad, right?  Well take a closer look......

Can you see it?  Right there.  Yes, there.  I know you can see it.  Can't you?  You know, that wonderful WDW Collards.  You see it.  Right????  WHAT???  YOU DON'T SEE IT EITHER?

Well that's because this......

.....is the only WDW Collards in my stash.  I can't believe it!  This was supposed to be "fully kitted"!  I'm supposed to have three skeins of Collards for this piece and this was all that I could come up with.  I even went digging into every nook, cranny and kit that I had in my stash.  To no avail!  **BIG SIGH**

I hate road blocks!  The only good news is that I think that I can continue on my journey for now.  I won't be able to get to a needlework shop that has three skeins of WDW Collards in the same dye lot until after April 18th and that's six weeks away.  At the rate I was going, I was hoping to make this my big tax season finish.  Oh well!  Thanks anyway Uncle Sam!  UGH!

Happy Stitching!

Oh that is so annoying when that happens. My sympathies. And this LK was really moving along. I hope you are able to keep working on the rest of it and then finish it too sweet once you have the final color.

Argh! So annoying. I am currently suffering the lack of black silk for a piece I began this weekend. But at least it's my own darned fault... I left the silk and my scissors at my parents' house on Sunday.

Hope you're able to keep busy enough to not miss the collards too much over the next 6 weeks. For what it's worth, your progress looks great so far.

Jennifer,

So sorry you found your lacking in Collard Greens (sorry couldn't resist!), but the piece sure is beautiful!

I'm surprised you have time to stitch at all. Hopefully the next 6 weeks will pass quickly and you'll be back to a normal workweek. I remember working long hours - it's not easy.

Jennifer, I think I have 3 collards. When I get home from Daytona I'll look. If I do you can come by and get them. See you Cindy

Sorry for the road block - Your progress does look lovely despite it !!

The piece is going along great and it's a pity that it cameto a halt so abruptly. Hopefully you can get hold of the thready earlier than April.

Such frustration! I have been in your situation before. If you find a skein that is a little too dark to match, you can try rinsing some of the dye out. This worked for me once.

Hate when you run out of a thread. Hope you can get some other areas stitched - it's looking good!
