I Love To Read and Other Excuses

I know, you thought that I would be posting more now that tax season is over.  Well, I did too.  However I find myself enthralled each morning by my Nook instead of by my needle.  Then, when I come home each night, I find that Hubby has things that he wants to do together......like take the dog for a walk or make a trip to Lowes for some tomato plants.  Of course, there is also my constant struggle with the normal cleaning of the kitchen and the washing of clothes.  Its a wonder I have even made it to work some days!

I admit, that while I've made plenty of excuses, I have managed to get a needle in.  However, I can't show my finish quite yet.  First of all it is not "finished" and second of all it is for my BBD exchange.  I need to hurry up and get moving since I have to send it off by Saturday.

Hey.......wait.......listen.......do you hear that?  My Nook is calling my name again!

Until next time, Happy Stitching!

Oh I can relate so much. I have a Kindle and have enjoyed it immensely. Sometimes I turn on the read-to-me feature so I can stitch too and I love that part!

Take care,
Jennifer

I'm so out of it. I have a kindle - and never use it. My son however... I just like the feel of a real book.

But, I completely understand reading over stitching some days.

Yes.....I can just hear that....over the sound of my own sewing room calling and all the projects vying for attention (worse than children some of them - "Look at me Mummy - look at me!!!!!) I have to say I have discovered audiobooks...I can sit and stitch and someone else will read the book to me....PERFECT!!!!

My son just bought me a Kindle too. I'm afraid that as soon as I start using it, my cross stitch will be forgotten! I hope I can find time for both!

My Kindle keeps winning the "read or stitch?" battle lately especially on my commute home. I am seriously thinking of assigning reading to some days and stitching to others just so I can finish something *anything* this year.
