A Holiday Weekend

Whew! What a holiday weekend! It started off of Saturday with my good friend Sheryl coming to pick me up for a day of stitching at the LNS. This is always a fun day! We spend all day there and usually stop only to eat lunch. There were quite a few of us in attendance this past Saturday and the shop was pretty busy to boot. I worked on "Summer Basket" by Blackbird Designs. It is the latest Loose Feather's pattern. No, I don't have a picture yet, but I'm almost finished with the whole left side of thanks to all the stitching time on Saturday.

Sunday was spent with my parents, my brother and his son, and my sister and her two kids. Hubby and I helped to keep the kids entertained by playing on the Wii. We must have boxed each other 100 times! OK, maybe not that many, but it sure did feel like it. Yesterday I couldn't move my arms because they were so very sore. However, I think that after playing on the Wii all day, I have talked hubby into one. I've been wanting one for sometime now and this may be the motivation that he needs to get me one. After all, the holidays really aren't that far away and he should really be planning!

Yesterday (Monday) was a washout. We woke up to pouring down rain and grey skies. At least we got up early enough to go to our favorite breakfast joint before the crowd came. They were even having a happy hour and we splurged on Mimosas. YUM! Back at the house we rested up for work. YUCK!

I can't say that I stitched much over the weekend (other than Saturday), so I don't really have anything to show you. The weather is keeping me from taking any good pictures since the lighting in my house isn't the best on rainy, overcast days like today. I've also been working on a ton of commitment stitching, so I can't post that either right now. However, once I find a shipping box, I will send off my LHN exchange and I will be able to post that.

I guess it's back to work for me so.........Happy Stitching!

I love the new loose feathers! I think I need to go to my LNS and pick mine up.

I can't wait to see your project!!

Literally, on Monday, I went and bought a Wii for us. My husband is a Playstation and XBox gamer and I'm a Nintendo one. We all LOVE it! It comes with Wii sports, but you have to get an extra controller and nun chuk thing so 2 people can use it at one time. The Wii Fit is fun and so is the Active Personal Trainer (although I seriously hurt my quad muscle).
