Now, onto the good stuff.........My four day holiday was crammed full as you all know. One of the evenings I spent with my Mom. My Mom is the greatest. She is my rock and my best friend! Recently she and my step-dad took my (step) Grandfather (who is 94) to Disney World in Florida for vacation. While they were gone, we dog sat for them. In return she brought us all this wonderful stuff:
There was a bowl, plates, salad tongs, corn cob holders, chip clips, chopsticks, reusable straws, a tervis tumbler for Hubby and a Tigger charm for my Pandora bracelet! See, I told you my Mom was the greatest!
And the design inside the bowl????
Mickey heads are always cool! But, get a load of the big picture.......
Okay, okay, I know. You want to see the good stuff, not a plastic bowl!
Over the holiday I was hard at work (when I wasn't quilting) on this baby:
Delivering Fleurs by Homespun Elegance Part of the 2011 Crazy January Challenge |
I finished another piece over the holiday weekend, but I won't be able to show it since it is for an exchange that is due on the 15th. Uh oh! The 15th is coming up fast. Looks like I need to get myself into a finishing mode!
In addition to the finishig I need to do, my Birds of a Feather Mystery Sampler arrived today and now I'm itching to start that as well. I just don't know how I'm going to get this all in! I need to win the lottery!!!!
Happy Stitches!

I love that bowl! The colors are so happy - just like Mickey. :o) Your HE piece looks great and I think would finish up beautifully as a stand up. Have a great weekend!
Great goodies and glad to hear you had so much fun.
Love "Delivering Fleurs".
Isn't it terrible that a day only has 24 hours? So much to do...so little time..lol.
ooo lovely goodies you got brought back :) and ooooo like your homespun elegance not seen that one before ... off to go and google the whole picture ... can't wait to see it and I think a flat fold for it :)take care and happy stitching love mouse xxx
Great goodies from your mom! I'm thinking of getting the Mystery sampler too. I'm not fond of mysteries but the border on it is just gorgeous. Four day weekends should occur more regularly!
Cute, cute, cute stitch! I love anything with sheep on it. Can't wait to see it finish-finished!
What fun treats your sweet mom sent, lucky girl :) I love her, and boy does she love you :)That is so cool that they all went to Disney, especially your Grandfather at 94...that so rocks! Enjoy it all "_
Your WIP is gorgeous I love both colors and the sheep with the bird, that is so fun. I think it would look fabulous as either a hanging or as a stand up and I can't wait to see what you decide.
I ordered the mystery sampler and cannot wait for it to arrive! I am so excited to see how yours progresses.
Hugs
