Long story endless, hubby and I ended up having quite the disagreement about my posting. He was quite perturbed about the fact that I was posting while we were watching a movie together. He felt like I was neglecting him and paying more attention to my blogging friends. (Should I even mention that we had just spent the whole day together doing fun things around town? Plus, based on my number of not so in depth posts over the last 38 days, I think I've been doing just the opposite!) Basically it came down to the fact that he didn't like that I was blogging. When I told him that there were things I didn't like either he wanted me to expand on my comment. I just pointed to the floor and said "I don't like the fact that he is still here"........
He may look innocent, but he is 60 pounds of holy terror! |
Fifteen minutes later hubby took the dog back to his father's house! Woo hoo! The streak ends at 38 days!
It was so peaceful in my house this morning. My downstairs even smelled just like the plug in from Bath & Body Works instead of "Nasty Dog". Ahhhh........
I'm just wondering how long the bliss will last because we still have the dog's bed, bowl and food. Hubby didn't take that with him when he took the dog back last night. UGH!
Happy Stitches!

OMG...thirty-eight days seems way too long! You're a bigger person than me.
I'll keep my fingers crossed for you!
Oh I'm so glad to hear that the dog is GONE! You really sounded frustrated being stuck with that lousy houseguest!
Hope the dog stays with you FIL for good!
I feel for you, my husband thinks I spend to much time on the computer all so. Between Blogging and my genealogy. hope the dog does not come back.
Happy Stitching

I have the dame problem! Well with the husband anyway. He thinks I should not be on the computer so long. I am trying very hard to start an online business, which was his idea! He said I had a talent for dyeing fabric, so that's what I am doing. He forgets he spends so much time in his garage working on his car, I'm up here cleaning the house, making his dinner, coffee etc. I just tell him to shut it! I think that dog is adorable though! But I understand your pain. Our dog is mainly outside and I am the one who lets him in when it's cold or raining (hubby hates it). But I am also the one who has to vacuum and wash the lounge after he has slept on it (the dog, not hubby).
Glad to hear your houseguest has gone home... You went above and beyond for those 38 days!
Ahhhh... a big sigh of relief for you! Sorry about the spat but it looks like it had a happy ending.
Can't wait to see your stitching progress too!
my finger are crossed for you..
hugs and more love.

Whoo hoo for you!!!! I'm so glad he listened to you, and I hope the bed and food and stuff follow the dog and not the other way around. Also, I've noticed that you hardly ever blog, so... But I understand him wanting to spend time too. If you're attention is elsewhere, you can't discuss the movie after it's over. And that is often the fun part.
Whew - hope the dog stays at his home...perhaps the items will follow today!
Glad to see you've made progress...hope it's not one step forward, two back - sending good thoughts your way!
