Too Much Excitement

It turns out that there was a little excitement at home while I was at market. It turns out that my FIL called my MIL and asked her to take him to the ER because he was not feeling well. (As an aside, Hubby's parents have been divorced over 16 years.....they are much better seperate than together.) Anyway, she drove to his house and took him to the ER. She told me that she wasn't sure if she was going to get him there in time.

It turns out that his heart rate was in the 30's and lower. He also had a minor heart attack. Luckly the attack was so mild that there was no damage. But, there was a 100% block and a 90% block from the heart attack that he had 30 years ago.

Fast forward to today, and he is now recovering from triple bypass surgery. He also has a temporary pacemaker. Hopefully he will get his permanent one tomorrow. Recovery has been good so far. They had him sitting up today and they even made him walk in place a few times.

As for us, it has been on the stressful side. Hubby has been doing a ton of driving back and forth to the hospital. I'm still not feeling up to speed either, so all of this is not helping. To make matters worse, my Puppy is now staying with my Mother because we have my FIL's bulldog. Don't get me wrong, W can be a cute guy, but he is......well.......SPASTIC! Sixty pounds of spaz is just a little much for me (and my Pup).

So, that is where things currently stand. I just pray for a speedy recovery for my FIL. I'm so ready to send W home. I want MY Puppy back!

Happy Stitching!

I hope he has a speedy recovery and things get a whole lot less 'exciting' real quick for ya. :(

You should see if there's a doggy day care in your area. The dog will be out of your hair getting LOADS of exercise (which it sounds like he needs). You will love him much more when he comes back.

Best wishes for a speedy recovery for your FIL.

I hope your fil is well soon - and that you get your doggie back soon. I complain about mine when he's bugging me but I would miss him if he were gone...
